1, 2, 3… go, b! Taylor Swift is ushering in 2024 during the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Cincinnati Bengals game on this unusually dated New Year’s Eve of 12/31/23.
In her seventh NFL visit, the “Delicate” singer arrived at Arrowhead Stadium wearing a replica of boyfriend Travis Kelce’s white wool and leather jacket with black sleeves that he wore to GEHA Field on Christmas Day.
Jeff Hamilton designed Kelce’s jacket, which features NFL and helmet patches on the sleeves and “Chiefs” in red lettering across the back. The tight end posted a video on Instagram last week sporting a Santa hat, a white turtleneck, and a jacket. Swift used black-and-white striped versions for the black collar, cuffs, and waistline.
“You can tell the differences in the collar, cuffs, and hem,” says Sarah Chapelle, founder of Taylor Swift Style, when comparing the two varsity-style jackets. “They are undeniably similar. It’s a wink to Travis.”
About an hour before the start, the pop diva came without her family.
Swift’s most recent game occurred on Christmas Day versus the Las Vegas Raiders. Swift’s brother Austin, dressed as a Kansas City Santa, went alongside her to the box overlooking the field, as her parents, Scott and Andrea, strolled behind her.
On his podcast, “New Heights,” Kelce acknowledged that Austin had given him a gift-wrapped VHS of the tight end’s favorite football movie, “Little Giants.”

Taylor Swift spent New Year’s Eve cheering on her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, where the Chiefs defeated the Cincinnati Bengals.
Swift was spotted watching the game from a suite while dressed in a Kansas City Chiefs jacket. Kelce donned a jacket identical to this one before the Chiefs’ Christmas game. The Chiefs trailed the Bengals by four points at halftime on Sunday, but they came back to win 25-17.
Several fans hoisted placards mentioning Swift and Kelce at Sunday’s game. One fan held a placard with images of Swift and Kelce on dynamite sticks with the caption “T-N-T, They’re Dynamite!”
The singer has had a successful year. Swift, in addition to being awarded TIME’s Person of the Year, has broken Elvis Presley’s record for the most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums list, according to Billboard. Swift’s overall number of weeks at No. 1 rose to 68 as “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” spent another week at the top, shattering Elvis Presley’s previous record of 67 weeks.
Swift has attended multiple Chiefs games this season, both at Arrowhead Stadium and on the road.
“Football is awesome, it turns out,” Swift said in her TIME Person of the Year interview. “I’ve been missing out my whole life.”
In September, the singer attended her first Chiefs game. She also went to the team’s Christmas game, which the Chiefs defeated 20-14.
Other celebs who have attended Chiefs games this season include Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and Hugh Jackman.
Kelce originally spoke out about Swift on an episode of his “New Heights” podcast in late September. The Chiefs player claimed he’s been on a “rollercoaster of life” since Swift’s initial visit at one of his games.
On January 7, the Chiefs will face the Los Angeles Chargers.

12/31/23 may be an auspicious day for Swift. At her last tour spot in São Paulo, Brazil, both of her surprise songs referenced “1, 2, 3”: “ME!” on guitar and “So It Goes…” on piano.
The Chiefs are still in the running for Super Bowl LVIII. Next Sunday, Jan. 7, is the Chiefs’ last regular-season game. The red-and-gold will play the Chargers in Los Angeles.
