The trailer For JURASSIC PARK: SURVIVAL Which is Set Days After The Events of the Original 1993 Film

I had no idea that a new Jurassic Park video game was in development, but a trailer has been released for a game titled Jurassic Park: Survival and it looks great!

This is a first-person action game being developed by Saber and what makes the game so interesting is that it’s a direct sequel to the original 1993 film and the story takes place just days after the events of the original.

The reveal trailer takes us back to some of the memorable locations from the movie, not long after the island had been evacuated, except for one person who was left behind, InGen scientist Dr. Maya Joshi, and is now forced to survive as all the dinosaurs are on the loose.

In this single-player adventure, players will be able to explore “a fully realized Isla Nublar filled with reactive wildlife, dinosaurs, and other surprising threats.”

It’s explained that players will need to “outsmart, escape, and interact with the film’s iconic dinosaurs. Use your ingenuity through distraction and stealth to navigate intense and unforgettable encounters in a journey to outlast some of the deadliest creatures to ever walk the earth.”

Saber also says that players will need to “use all the resources at your disposal to find intelligent solutions to endure the many threats lurking on Isla Nublar.”

There’s no release date for the game yet, but it will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Check out the trailer and let us know what you think! I’m excited to eventually play this!

An Oscar-Winning Filmmaker Has A Bananas Idea For An ‘Erotic’ Version Of ‘Jurassic Park’ Involving Human-Velociraptor Love

Directors of award-winning fare often get their mitts on blockbusters. It worked for Greta Gerwig. When will Emerald Fennell go big? The actress-filmmaker won an Oscar for writing Promising Young Woman (and scored a Best Director nod), and her latest, Saltburn, is out now. Does she have a dream blockbuster project? She sure does, and it’s not what you expect.

“I honestly feel that I’ve been so lucky. I’ve been able to make my dream projects already,” Fennell told Deadline. “But my favorite film of all time is Jurassic Park, so I would love to get in on the dinosaurs.”

Alas, she has a different take on dinosaur-human mayhem. “Well, first and foremost, it’s very erotic,” Fennell explained. “I think humans and dinosaurs have gotten to that stage in their time together where things are starting to get quite thrilling. So, there’s a marriage between a man and a velociraptor and it’s basically a domestic drama.”

Granted, the Jurassic World trilogy posited that at least one belligerent velociraptor wouldn’t tear at least one human — Chris Pratt’s dino handler Owen Grady — to shreds, at least after being properly trained. That one could find domestic bliss with another seems far-fetched even for a movie — although America’s current Speaker of the House might buy it.

Saltburn is now in theaters. The original Jurassic Park currently streams on Amazon Prime.

Netflix confirms Jurassic World sequel series releasing in 2024

Netflix has announced Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, a sequel television series that is set to air next year.

The show is being proposed as a sequel to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the second instalment in a trilogy that served as a follow-up to the original films.

“After the park has closed, after the kingdom has fallen, a new era of chaos begins…. Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is coming to Netflix in 2024,” reads the logline for the series, with the announcement video showing a clip of the iconic Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Whilst plot details and casting rumours are scarce, we do know that Paul-Mikél Williams will reprise his role as Darius Bowman from Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, an animated spin-off also developed by Netflix.

The Jurassic World film trilogy concluded last year with Dominion, though producer Frank Marshall previously teased that the studio was not completely done with the prehistoric creatures.

“I think that Dominion’s going to wrap up this trilogy, but we’re not resting on our laurels,” he said. “We’re going to sit down, and we’re going to see what the future is. We have that wonderful series, Camp Cretaceous, on Netflix.

“We obviously want to make quality, good movies with great storytelling, great writers and directors, but we’re definitely looking to do more in the Jurassic world.”

Whilst Marshall was hopeful for the series’ future, director Colin Trevorrow revealed that the benefit of hindsight made him believe that Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film should have been a standalone feature.

“For the franchise to be able to move forward, there probably should have only been one Jurassic Park,” he said. “But if we’re gonna do it, how can I allow them to tell stories in a world in which dinosaurs exist, as opposed to, here’s another reason why we’re going to an island?”
